It's Friday

Wow...what a long week. I am so glad it's Friday!!! The assignments have started to pick up and I have chosen to re-vamp my priorities and commitments.

I am going for a meeting with my advisor today and I may be able to graduate a semester early or even complete 2 classes while at home to save money. I was thrilled to find out that I was ahead in college and I sure hope that I get good news today. I am actively looking for an internship in the DC/Metro area and I am really nervous as I wait to hear back from them about whether or not they want to schedule an interview. I am glad that I am meeting with my advisor today because I can then give the internship a look at my graduation date.

Two of my residents needed to go to the ER during our 'snow storm'-- so glad they woke me up though. They are both fine and on antibiotics, thank goodness.

I have really been slacking with my blogging and I do apologize....trying to get it all up to date ;) I am really enjoying reading everyones posts and their contests and FREE stuff. Thank you to all my readers and the blogs that I follow!!

I am so tired, and so glad its Friday!! Tomorrow I plan to go to the mall and just look around, money is tight but I am in need of taking a day to myself. I am going to visit Garrett in West Virginia for Valentine's Day and this is the first one we will spend together in 3 years. A long distance relationship is hard, no doubt about it. I am planning to write a post on tips for long distance relationships....from personal experience.

Also, Tupperware has 40% off Modular Mates until Feb. 13th (I am placing an order on Feb. 11) AND ending tonight (1/30) is 40-50% off gift sets. Email me at osmithspagirl@yahoo.com and I will forward the flyers. www.mytupperware.com/osmith

Workout Routine?

I am a 5'2" 125lb. 21 year old..... and I have not been active for some time now. I am looking to lose my belly flab and get in shape-- I lose my breath climbing stairs. I am not necessarily looking to lose weight (a few pounds wouldnt kill me thought) but to get toned and in shape. I am going to join the YMCA-- they have a student discount but I would rather do a routine here on campus for FREE. I was a member of the YMCA for a semester and I did like it when I did intervals on the treadmill then some sit ups and small weight lifting. I am interested in starting a routine for about 3x a week for 45-1hour each session at the gym.

I am lost in what will work best?? The cardio on the treadmill, some sit ups and the elliptical? Should I try intervals again? What should be my daily workout? Should I change my diet along with it? My primary goal is to get in shape where I can run around or climb stairs without being out of breath.

Any suggestions?

Sunday Reflections

Hi Readers,

I woke up this morning so tired! I forced myself out of bed and into the shower and then again to get ready and dry my hair. I was so ready to head back to my warm bed but I knew I needed to go to church today, and I was driving some people there. As I forced myself to stay awake, I looked out the window only to notice a nice covering of snow. I tell you what, it was a complete surprise for me-- I didn't know it snowed last night.

After getting in the car, waiting for the others that needed to follow me and a few wrong turns, we made it about 5 minutes late. Church was great today, awesome worship songs and Pastor Donnie brought us a great message on fellowshipping and the importance of friendship. It was such a great day with some friends from back home. It is nice to have them visit but it makes me miss home that much more.

I arrived back on campus and cleaned my room up from the craziness this morning and sat down to take a break. So far, I have made a list of all the things I need to do today and tomorrow. I tell you, it is a lot but I am excited to have a day off tomorrow. I am going to watch the Steelers game today; I am not much of a football junkie but I just enjoy watching every once in awhile and this seems like a pretty important game.

I plan to catch up on my internet networking sites. If you are interested in any, these are GREAT.

About Me!

Hi Readers,

I am Olivia Smith, a full time college student in Phoenixville, PA. I am anticipating graduation in May, 2010 with a Bachelors in Business Management. I am originally from Maryland and do miss home a lot.

I am a consultant for Princess House, Gold Canyon, Tupperware, and Monet Minerals as well as other affiliate sites.

Garrett and I have been dating for 4 years and counting. He attends school in West Virginia and he will graduate in May, 2011 with a Bachelors in Criminal Justice and a Masters in Business Administration.

I am excited to come out on a limb and start a blog. I hope that I will be able to write something from a college student's perspective that will be beneficial to my readers.

I hope you enjoy my posts and I gain some new friends.
